What do people in the UK think of the styles of architecture for our houses here in the US?

why so ? describe any you have seen that you like or didnt like. how does it compare to styles of architecture for homes there?

1. You're houses tend to be bigger because land is cheaper out there. Also your houses seem to be made of wood, whereas over here we use concrete and bricks. x
2. First, why would anyone in the UK care. Second, to describe what I liked and don't like would take forever. Much depends on what part of the USA including Hawaii and Alaska you live in.

5. your houses are better than our suckish houses. UK's are all bricky and stupid & small. US's are much bigger in general
6. Aren't your houses made mainly of wood? Not very sensible in a country that has hurricanes............
7. I love the really old houses here in the UK from the tudor ages or the victorian ones. From what i've seen in the media, American houses are always pale coloured and very box shaped. But they always look very modern and spacious with nice gardens. I don't like motel buildings, for some reason they always look very simple and quite rough. But hey! thats the media, im sure if i went to America the buildings would be very different to how they show them
8. Does it matter as long as you like the style of house that you like. I prefer the houses in the UK because I am English and I prefer our architecture, because the US only has 200 years of history you have no history, so you do understand the various styles, but as long as you like what you have that is all that matters.
9. I love the porches that run along the front of the houses!
