  1. i'm not sure about a website (i don't think any exist that i know of) but i am an architecture major and i have made many, many models. what would you like to know? i'm not sure how much you already do know, but some good materials to use would be chipboard (1ply, 2ply, and 3ply), bristol board, and bass wood planks/ dowels. sobo glue is a good model making glue, but there are others out there. another thing you can't do without is a really sharp exato knife. many people say to chage the blade with every cut, but i personally think that's a little excessive, but still make sure it stays sharp (that will mean less double cuts and cleaner cuts). also, if using bass wood, it will be easier to use a small table saw. just google model making supplies, and i'm sure you can find one (not sure how expensive they are though). when putting your model together try to use as little glue as possible. to keep it clean, try wipping the material, once in place, with a wet paper towel. also to hold a piece in place try to not use very much tape, instead try straight pins, they will not pull off the outside of the chipboard. also, keep in mid that architectural models are about clean looking form, it should NEVER look like a doll house. best to keep to one color as well. those are the basic, if you have a particular question about the type of building you are making, feel free to contact me.
